Thursday, November 01, 2007, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Fellowship Campus, 1210 Franklin Road Brentwood, TN US 37027
This week our Intersection Discussion focuses on Christian environmental concern. It is an issue that has created sharp political debate and opinion as well as theological discussion about our role as human beings in God's creation. To prepare for our discussion we invite you to read through the following questions and the below Scripture, articles and even listen to a podcast...
Questions for the Evening
- Do you think Christians are concerned with the preservation of this planet? Why or Why Not?
- What are some of the ideologies which can be associated with environmental concerns? Are there any views of creation itself that followers of Jesus might find problematic?
- Are there any drawbacks (i.e., economic, social) to forms of environmental action?
- What are some unique Christian motivations for being environmentally conscious and concerned?
