The topic for this intersection disucssion was "Emerging Churches and the Gospel of Jesus Christ" - for the last 10 years or so there has been a discussion about how we "do church" and how changing cultural realities should change the practice and/or beliefs of the church.

- A Pastoral Perspective on the Emerging Church by Mark Driscoll - only four pages but fantastic to give you background and perspective. Read this and you are golden.
- Essential Concerns Regarding the Emerging Church by Brett Kunkle - This is a more meaty read that was presented at the Evangelical Theological Society - very good...but meaty.
- Scriptures to be mindful of - Jude 3, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23, Galatians 1. Of course the concept of "The Kingdom of God" is very important in the "emerging discussion" so I refer you to last week's junk drawer which is found here on my blog.
