Four Views:

Evolutionary Theory - A view that "non-living" substance gave rise to the first living material, which subsequently reproduced and diversified to produce all extinct and extant organisms. (macroevolution)  This is all accomplished through random chance.

Gap Theory - A view that God created the world but that there is a long indeterminate period between Genesis 1:1 and 2.

Progressive Creationist Theory - A view that God created the world but He did it over long periods of time which roughly corresponds with scientific geological ages.

Six Day Creation Theory - A view that takes the Genesis account as involving six literal days and believes a relatively young earth between 10,000-20,000 years old
